A one of a kind brooch. Iversen used the Lost Wax technique from an actual leaf in order to preserve the patterns, surface, and personality in this amazing work of art.

John Iversen is a German born Long Island, NY, jeweler who is best known for his leaf interpretations. Inspired by nature, he uses actual leaves then covers the back with wax to increase their thickness and give them strength. Through a process akin to the Lost Wax technique, these items are converted to amazing works of wearable art. He is skilled at preserving the patterns, surface, and personality of the leaves and often applies a beautiful patina to enhance the piece. Iversen is known for his large scale and minimal enamels and his botanical jewelry.
