Georg Jensen Sterling Silver "Rose" Bonbonnière No. 262

One of Georg Jensen's most coveted and sought-after works of all time. An example of this design is housed in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art and has been featured within articles profiling Jensen's work in the New York Times as well as several art magazines and books on Georg Jensen. Georg Jensen himself was said to have considered this piece his finest design. While small in scale, this piece demonstrates all of Jensen's best attributes. His love of nature, elegant design and superb craftsmanship with attention to the smallest detail.

Designed in 1919, this particular piece has French import marks and was executed between 1925-1932 while Jensen was still living and overseeing production at the Georg Jensen Silver smithy.  It is a must-have for the serious Georg Jensen collector.

A similar example can be seen in the book GEORG JENSEN HOLLOWARE, The Silver Fund Collection by David Taylor and Jason Laskey, pg. 151.
