Jo Michels was a jewelry designer and retailer in Greenwich Village, NYC during the 1940’s and 50’s. The shop was located on West 8th St. during the burgeoning bohemian art-jewelry movement. Along with his own jewelry, the shop represented notable female jewelers like Mary Gage and Lillian Pines.
