BIO:
John Iversen is a German-born Long Island, NY, jeweler who is best known for his leaf interpretations. Inspired by nature, he uses actual leaves then covers the back with wax to increase their thickness and give them strength. Through a process akin to the Lost Wax technique, these items are converted to amazing works of wearable art. He is skilled at preserving the patterns, surface, and personality of the leaves and often applies a beautiful patina to enhance the piece. Iversen is known for his large scale and minimal enamels and his botanical jewelry.
