Georg Jensen Pair of Sugar Casters no. 69, Very Rare

Each of cylindrical ovoid "eggplant" shaped form fitted with conforming pierced dome-shaped cover with raised foliate design, beaded edge and attached pomegranate finial; the whole raised on downswept feet with foliate enrichment.
Designed in 1918 by Georg Jensen, this pair bears English import marks and assay marks from 1922. 925 silver being required by England. Entirely hand wrought and in excellent condition considering the age. Very few were ever made according to the Georg Jensen archives.
