Extremely rare Gorham sterling silver compote dish by Erik Magnussen. Raised cup with a wide flaring rim and an applied bezel setting to receive lid. The bowl is supported by a column-like, fluted ivory stem. Extremely heavy gauge, hand wrought and hand hammered silver.  Designed circa 1926 9.75"H x 6.5"W. 4" D at Foot. Weighs 1.8 lbs.
