Georg Jensen 830 Silver Necklace No. 1 with Moonstones.
Designed by Georg Jensen in 1904, this necklace has french import hallmarks, circa 1919.
This necklace is articulated beautifully so that it lays perfectly on the neck and breastbone. It is intricately detailed with stylized leaves and berries. The necklace has natural moonstones with very fine color and iridescence.
This necklace is in exceptional condition with no signs of wear on links, the moonstones are vivid, and the silver has beautiful patina.
A similar example can be seen in the book Georg Jensen "A Tradition of Splendid silver" by Janet Drucker, pages 170 and 171.
This necklace is also featured in the book, GEORG JENSEN JEWELRY by Isabelle Anscombe, edited by David A. Taylor. Yale University Press, pg.176 and 177.
