Georg Jensen Special Commission Sterling Silver Dish

Small round dish made under commission for pianist Victor Borge. Mr. Borge presented these as thank you gifts to friends and associates on his many world tours.

The dish is small and could be used as an individual glass coaster, candy/mint dish or ashtray. The edge is decorated with the following "MY BEST WISHES WITH GRATITUDE AND SINCERE APPRECIATION" while the center bears a facsimile of Mr. Borge's signature. An interesting and uncommon piece made for a kind entertainer. Dates from the 1960s/1970s.
