Wonderful sterling silver four piece service made while Puiforcat was taking refuge in Mexico during World War II. This rare service was made near the end of the designer's life - as he died the day after his return to France in 1945, at the age of 48.
Very heavy gauge silver adorned with silver buttons and rosewood finials and handles.
Marked "Jean Puiforcat Made in Mexico Sterling."
