«   Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Museum Quality Antique Belt Buckle with Coral

Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Museum Quality Antique Belt Buckle with Coral.

Georg Jensen belt buckle with bright, lively coral cabochons, circa 1908-1915. This was likely the prototype as it is un-numbered but fully hallmarked. Later designed by Georg Jensen and put into very limited production as design no. 35 in 1914. I have only seen one other example the the book Georg Jensen Jewelry published in 2006 by Yale publications.

This is an extremely rare find, excellent antique condition with original patina intact. This can be worn as a waist buckle or as a closure for a cape or empire waist coat. A true collector's piece.

A similar example can be seen in the book, GEORG JENSEN JEWELRY by Isabelle Anscombe, Yale University Press, pg. 69.
