Buccellati is an Italian company famous for it’s extraordinary silver objects and textural gold jewelry. The pieces are unique and instantly recognizable. Buccellati pieces are distinctly known for their rich, textural quality. Maria Buccellati was among the first to introduce the technique of texture-engraving.
Buccellati dates back to mid-eighteenth century when Contardo Buccellati worked as a goldsmith in Milan. In 1903, Mario Buccellati apprenticed at Beltrami & Beltrami, eventually taking over the firm, changing the name to Buccellati. Over the years, Buccellati’s work gained a worldwide loyal following. Four of his sons entered the family business, and now the third generation of Buccallati’s run the firm. As Gianmaria Buccellati explained “The Buccellati concept focuses on beauty, art, class and the traditions of the past... Our jewels are entirely hand-made, with love, patience, and time by the best craftsmen in Italy... Our philosophy has never changed and never will; it represents the essence of our work.”
